Staff Writer Claire Ducharme describes her experience with Justin Cassin AW25 Runway, considering what the show might indicate about the designer’s future.

Held between 20 and 24 February 2025, this London Fashion week provided a platform for both digital and physical shows, including that of Justin Cassin on the first day of the event.

Justin Cassin returned to St John’s Church in Hyde Park, where he had previously presented his innovations in menswear and design during the LFW September 2024. Revisiting the venue, influencers did not hesitate to take photos on the runway before and after the show, some even broaching the path as the lights dimmed in preparation for the models. As music of the likes of the Gorillas and Bruno Mars blasted, I wondered if those constructing the church in the 1830s would have ever imagined such a scene. However, I was quickly swept away from my questions by the beginning of the catwalk.

Cassin, whose namesake label which debuted in 2017, strives to design pieces that “promote personal style and confidence” and does not hesitate to break away from the norm. Harping on individuality, this spring 2025 menswear collection included fun pink zip-up accents, cropped leather Moto jackets with orange motifs, hooded robes and tweed coats – all demonstrations of excellent craftsmanship.

His goal is clear: make designs that are not only noticed, but actually make the person wearing them noticeable. Each piece was amazingly suited to the models’ unique walks, facial structures and overall essences. Within such a diverse group, the outfits allowed every one of them to stood out.

Notably, Justin Cassin did not close the show himself as he is possibly undergoing cancer treatment in California

Wishing Cassin a restful recovery and looking forward to how his brand continues to help individuals shine, we hope to see more of his creations at the next London Fashion Week.
