LONDON VARSITY 2021- KCL Netball Review

The second event of the 1st day of Varsity was less of a success for KCL, as they went down 63-8 to UCL at King’s Cross’ Somers Town Sports Centre.

The side had been dealt a series of blows in the weeks preceding the event, as several first team players were unable to make the side through a variety of reasons. Nevertheless, spurred by their MOTM-winning captain Yosra Soliman, the side held very firm for the opening stages of the game, but tired throughout the final stages, exacerbated by the slightly incongruous nature of the team selection.

Spirits were still high though despite the defeat, celebrating with a round of bottle popping and drinking. Deserved after being inside on such a belting day of weather, and after giving it their best shot in trying circumstances.

1 each in the series after 2 events.
