King’s Sports Update: Great start for Women’s 1st Fencing Team

Victorious Womens 1s after beating Kent 133-94 to remain as league leaders

KCL Fencing Club Secretary Liam Danthanarayana reports on the great recent success of KCL Fencing Womens 1s as well as a round up of how KCL Fencing have started their 2022/23 campaign!

Week Commencing 12th October:

At Downside Fisher Youth Club, for the first games of the season, our women’s 1s took on our women’s 2s, beating them 135-76. This was in the women’s South Eastern Tier 1 league, which they now sit top of! At the same venue, our Men’s 1s starts off the premier league with a bang as they beat Bath 1s 135 to 100! Down in the men’s South Eastern Tier 1, our Men’s 2s took a trip to Queen Mary’s 1s losing 135-91.

Week Commencing 19th October:

Another tough week of competitions for 3 of KCL’s fencing teams. Our Womens 1s took on Kent 1s beating them 133-94, to sustain their position at the top of their league. Our Womens 2s suffered a loss to Queen Mary’s 1s and so did our Men’s 2s vs UCL 2s in a close match at home which ended 113-111.
