Hampstead residence bar closes due to lack of students

Hampstead Residence north side

HAMPSTEAD Residence bar has been shut for the rest of the semester due to a lack of students.

Staff wages weren’t being covered by takings and therefore it was operating at a loss, with the bar near empty on many nights.

Students were told in an email that the space will remain open as usual but that there will no service in the evenings.

The end of semester party on 28th March will still go ahead.
