With the first 5 weeks of the season over and a long international break ahead, it’s a perfect time to look at who’s performed well and why you should bring them into your team. Whether you’re wildcarding in Game Week 6 or simply looking at who to bring into your team, here are 7 differential players you need to win your mini league!
Kevin Schade – BRE, MID – £6.2 million. Selected by just 10.6% of players, the Brentford midfielder has quickly shown why he is a great FPL option by racking up 39 points since the start of the season. He has good goal threat, nearly always plays 90 minutes and there’s no worry about rotation after Brentford narrowly missed out on Europe last season. Definitely on my watchlist as a great FPL pick!
Marcus Tavernier – BOU, MID – £6.1 million. At just a 6.7% ownership, Tavernier has proven time and time again why he is a great differential pick. He’s scored 31 points so far this season and as Bournemouth’s talisman, he’s a great budget midfielder with some decent fixtures ahead of him. With good attacking threat, some set pieces, and penalties when Kluivert isn’t on the pitch, he’s certainly one to watch.
Tarik Muharemovic – LEE, DEF – £5.0 million. My favourite pick on this list, the Leeds defender is selected by only 4.3% of players despite the incredible start to the season he has had. Muharemovic is a DEFCON monster, hitting the threshold 4 out of 5 times so far, and when you pair that with his attacking threat, nailed minutes and clean sheet probabilities, you get a great FPL pick. I would highly recommend transferring him in after he plays Arsenal away, as investing money into your defence is the best way to secure points and move up the ranks consistently!
Luka Vuskovic – BRI, DEF – £5.0 million. Staying with DEFCON defenders, Vuskovic makes the list as one of the most underrated picks in the game. Chosen by only 3.5% of teams, the 19-year-old has already made his mark by returning 32 points in only 5 weeks. Whilst he is a DEFCON magnet, his real value comes from his aerial threat, as his giant stature makes him a great target for corners. Whilst his minutes have been fantastic so far, Brighton’s European fixtures may affect his playtime, so I would be wary about that. Nonetheless, he is a great differential to have!
And those are 7 of the best differential picks that you need to win your mini league! If you decide to bring any of these players into your team, don’t forget to thank us at the end of the season. Remember, there is now a 3-week international break before the Premier League starts up again, so wait until it’s over before making any transfers!
