KCL FUNdraisers Awarded

KCLSU societies have raised a massive £103,250 this year for charities, and as a mark of their achievements some were honoured at Tuesday Nights (29th May 2012) KCLSU awards.

Fundraising Group of the Year – Islamic Society

Islamic Soc  Charity week  raised a staggering £43,486.59 (almost as much as the fundraising total 2010/11). Through a sponsored bridge-walk/sky dive/bungee jump, a charity dinner and auction, a pamper day and fashion show, and in their street collections they managed to raise more than any other London university. WIN!

Society of the Year – RAG 2012

GKT RAG raised an equally impressive £39,936.71 this year, with June RAG still to come, for their three charities; The Evelina Children’s Hospital, Medicinema and Guy’s Cancer Unit.
