Labour MP Harriet Harman visits King’s College Hospital.

A new helipad on top of the hospital’s Ruskin Wing was launched this Wednesday. This is the third helipad in London and will benefit 5.5 million trauma patients across south-east London and Kent.

Harriet Harman expressed her support for the College’s initiative:

The multi-million pound investment has been in the works since the end of January 2015.

The helipad is the first in mainland UK equipped with a deck integrated firefighting system.
