On 4 November, King’s College London (KCL) announced three new undergraduate courses for students starting in September 2026 via their Instagram page, @lifeatkings. With the UCAS application deadline on 14 January approaching, prospective students now have a wider variety of options to choose from prior to making their decision.
A new Bachelor of Science (BSc) course, Psychology and Criminology, will provide students with the opportunity to engage with both the psychological sciences and the field of criminology, separately and in relation to each other. The course aims to emphasise real-world application of criminology and psychological science, as well as employability skills and discipline-specific opportunities at the world-leading Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN). KCL is the only London-based Russell Group university to offer this joint honours programme, and (as the @lifeatkings Instagram story highlighted,) the course has been accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Waterloo campus will be the base campus for students studying over a duration of three years, or potentially four if they choose to undertake a year abroad or a professional placement year as the program offers.
The second course announced by @lifeatkings is a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree in Law with Criminology. This three-year program, with an optional additional year studying abroad, will provide students with detailed knowledge of the criminal justice system, criminal law and the broader patterns of criminality. Alongside traditional law-based modules during years two and three of the programme, students will also have the opportunity to study criminology modules run by the IoPPN. As King’s describes:
“This new LLB course focuses on the study of law and criminology as an intellectual discipline.”
Strand Campus will be the base campus for students, with teaching taking place at both the IoPPN and The Dickson Poon School of Law, which is located in the historic Somerset house.
Finally, @lifeatkings announced a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in International Business Analytics and Management. The four-year course is a collaborative programme taught between King’s Business School and EDHEC Business School in Lille, France – one of Europe’s top ten business schools. Students will learn the foundations of business, finance and analytics during their first two years in London, before transitioning to EDHEC for the final two years, where they will choose a specialism and undertake internship opportunities. With an emphasis on gaining international experience and exploring global business concepts, optional French language courses will be provided to students joining the course by King’s Language Centre. Graduates of the programme will be awarded a single honours degree from King’s, along with a separate award issued by EDHEC.
