Strand Cup: KCLRFC vs LSERFC

Credit to: KCLRFC

Sports Writer Kamal Maru provides live updates on the annual KCLRFC vs LSERFC Strand Cup.

The much-anticipated Strand Cup Rugby Match is finally here. On Wednesday evening (10th December 2025), Chiswick Rugby Club will host a fierce battle between KCL and LSE for local pride and bragging rights in the Strand area.

With Varsity just around the corner, both university rugby teams are eager to make a statement. For KCL, this match means more than just a win; it’s a step toward redemption. Last season’s Varsity still lingers in memory, when King’s were up 20–19 against UCL with just 30 seconds to go, only for a last-play try to snatch the victory away. This means KCL is even more determined this year to set the record straight on the big stage.

After a narrow pre-season loss to LSE in 2024, King’s will be out to prove themselves against their Strand rivals once again. With pride, passion, and payback on the line, the stage is set for an electric encounter.

Kickoff Time: 5pm, Wednesday 10th December, Chiswick Rugby Club
