KING’S will not be rescheduling or moving exams which take place during the tube strike, and have advised students to “plan their journeys in advance”.
The strikes will clash with exams on 6th – 8th May, leaving many students potentially unable to get to their assessments.
A statement from the Examinations office said: “All examinations taking place during the planned tube strike period (i.e. those being held on 6th-8th May) will go ahead as normal at the scheduled time and venue”.
“Students are advised to plan their journeys in advance and to allow significant extra time to travel to the venues. Details on the tube lines that will be running full, partial or no services will be available via the Transport For London website nearer the time.”
It’s unclear whether students who miss exams due to the strike will be penalised.
KCLSU told Roar! it would do everything it could to mitigate against disruption caused by the strike. However the union hasn’t commented on this latest development.
