KCLSU societies have raised a massive £103,250 this year for charities, and as a mark of their achievements some were honoured at Tuesday Nights (29th May 2012) KCLSU awards.

Fundraising Group of the Year – Islamic Society

Islamic Soc  Charity week  raised a staggering £43,486.59 (almost as much as the fundraising total 2010/11). Through a sponsored bridge-walk/sky dive/bungee jump, a charity dinner and auction, a pamper day and fashion show, and in their street collections they managed to raise more than any other London university. WIN!

Society of the Year – RAG 2012

GKT RAG raised an equally impressive £39,936.71 this year, with June RAG still to come, for their three charities; The Evelina Children’s Hospital, Medicinema and Guy’s Cancer Unit.

Other societies have also done an amazing array of things to raise money this year, check our KCLSUs fundraising pages for more info or to get involved e-mail volunteering@kclsu.org.
